Review: Bad Lieutenant

Release Date: 21st May 2010 (UK)

Cast: Nicolas Cage, Eva Mendes, Val Kilmer, Xzibit

Genre: Crime, Thriller, Action

Pro’s: Funny, Frantic, Entertaining, Action packed.

Con’s: Long.

Plot: Terence McDonagh is a drug- and gambling-addled detective in post-Katrina New Orleans investigating the killing of five Senegalese immigrants.

Overview: Alough Cage has made some pretty dier films (Knowing, Ghost Rider, Windtalkers) this is far from that. Entertaining, Funny and explicit; perfect film with a perfect cast, you’ll have alot of trouble trying to find faults especially with Eva Mendes in the cast.

Review: Cherrybomb

Release Date: 23rd April 2010 (UK)

Cast: Rupert Grint, Robert Sheehan, James Nesbit, Kimberley Nixon

Genre: Comedy, Drama, Thriller

Pro’s: Kimberley Nixon, Teenage Storyline, Stupidly funny in places.

Con’s: Boring, “wild”, Cameo performances.

Plot: Three teenagers go on a wild weekend of drink, drugs, shop-lifting and stealing cars that quickly spins beyond their control.

Overview: Underestimating the fact that this film was made for ‘teenagers’ Cherrybomb creates a standard newmeric feeling; experimenting on drugs and swimming. In all honesty i wasnt a fan of Ron Wheasley anyway. Boring yet worth a watch, If your into hot teenage chicks and editorial genius.

Con’s: Lindsay Lohans Tits.

Review: Grown Ups

Release Date: 27th August 2010 (UK)

Cast: Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider.

Genre: Comedy, Childrens.

Pro’s: Great Cast, Kind of funny, Good storyline.

Con’s: Boring, Not funny, Fragile.

Plot: After their high school basketball coach passes away, five good friends and former teammates reunite for a Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Overview: I’m a great fan of Dugans work (Big Daddy, Happy Gilmore, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry) But this film just doesn’t justify. Its dull, boring and doesn’t compare to other comedy based films. If your looking for a film with meaning and deliberation go else where. If your a fan of unfunny, shit eating comedies then nail on the head.

Review: Monsters

Release Date: 12th November 2010 (UK)

Cast: Whitney Able, Scoot Mcnairy

Genre: Sci-Fi, Romance, Action.

Pro’s: Intense, Sophisticated, Action Dense.

Con’s: Frigid, Not Much action.

Plot: Six years ago NASA discovered the possibility of alien life within our solar system. A probe was launched to collect samples, but crashed upon re-entry over Central America. Soon after, new life form began to appear and half of Mexico was quarantined as an INFECTED ZONE. Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain “the creatures”…… Our story begins when a US journalist agrees to escort a shaken tourist through the infected zone in Mexico to the safety of the US border.

Overview: Alough Monsters fails to deliver a mediocher b-movie it delivers something unravaling; Monsters expects alot of thought and delivers with persision delivering a near perfect storyline and each to there own character roles. A forefilling film that takes alot to dislike.

Review: Metal Gear Solid 4

Right.. I’m not necessarily going to go into any sort of description for this review purely because i’ve got way to much to say and in all honesty i really do not want to spoil it either, if you have a Playstation 3, a controller and a television then i do not see why you have not concurred this game. The intense battles, overwhelming cut scenes and enough gameplay to last you a week are just about enough to make your silly little social life seem like a mere distance.
